ND doesn't want the ACC to survive that much...lol
Unless our commissioner can pull a rabbit out of a hat, this conference will eventually become another B12...void of "big name" programs. It's not like those other big names have been worth a crap for the last decade...only Clemson has stepped up to the plate in recent years.
VT, F$U and Miami have been dormant for about the last decade. Unless at least two of those decide to reenter the college football playoff picture in the near future, the writing is on the wall. A conference can't exist at the highest level with only one major player. Someone else needs to step up...preferably 2+ programs.
The SEC has a clear A, with another ~4 A- programs who challenge their 1A for dominance. The rest of the conference is a mix of Bs and Cs.
The B1X is close with a clear A, with an assortment of Bs and Cs. ND will join the Bs.
The ACC has a clear A, with a conference full of Cs. ND would slot in as a B.
The B12 & Pac-12 each now have one or two Bs, and the rest Cs
